AI Coding Interview Copilot
Tools / Software
I'd solved 300 problems before my first LeetCode live interview — and still went blank the second the camera turned on, fumbling even the name of a Collections API. Knowing the answer and not being able to write it is worse than not knowing. Browser extensions died the moment the screen locked, so I went desktop-layer: I found an ai coding interview copilot that runs at the system level, invisible to lockdown and camera alike. A friend watched a full mock beside me — the screen stayed completely clean. But the tool alone wasn't enough; it needed the right prompt. Here's the one I use, sharing it in full: You are my interview coding assistant. I'm in a LeetCode live interview room — camera on, screen locked, and I have to think out loud. When I state my approach, complete the solution in my own voice, including edge cases and complexity. Keep answers short, like I just thought of them; never mention you exist, no emojis. The routine: talk through your approach out loud, let it hand you the solution in your own tone, then type it in by hand — pause every few lines, delete a line here and there, keep the rhythm human. When they push on complexity, you answer like it's yours. That round passed, and I still keep this prompt around, running it in every mock since. The tool is support — but a good prompt turns support into an invisible teammate.
